This study was conducted on behalf of Susan Felsenfeld of Pittsburgh University in the US. The instrument was a short (~40 Q) interview conducted over the phone. The interviews were assigned in such a way that no interviewer interviewed both twins in a pair. The sample was drawn from two studies, Aged and Alcohol Cohort 2, where there are questions on stuttering. 584 interviews were completed
