GeneMappers Noticeboard

This noticeboard grew out of the 2002 Australian Twin Registry (ATR) and Australasian Human Gene Mapping Meeting (GeneMappers) Registration List, to which I was asked to circulate a few messages. Feedback from a number of registrants indicated a 'bulletin board' would be useful. Consequently, this page has been set up to list job advertisements, conference announcements, talks, etc. Furthermore, besides from generally helping us all keep in touch and distribute interesting information, it may be able to facilitate discussion between groups on specific topics.

Please feel free to email me (daleN@qimr.edu.au) any relevant messages you'd like posted.

Re: "SNPs in the Asia-Pacific Region"

On Tuesday, September 23, Queensland Institute of Medical Research (where SEQUENOM is located) will host a one-day scientific meeting entitled "SNPs in the Asia-Pacific Region". The aim is to encourage exchange of scientific (as opposed to technical) information on projects using SNP typing in the region. This is being convened by Professor Nick Martin, head of the Genetic Epidemiology Group at QIMR. Please e-mail him (nickM@qimr.edu.au) immediately to indicate your interest in attending
this meeting. He will shortly call for abstracts. There will be no registration fee.
